Target Temptations

Last night my hubby and I went to Target to relax.

Yes, Target is a place that makes me feel happy when I am sad and calms me down after a hectic day.

Well, last night Target also made me a very happy girl.  I scored both this J. Crew look a-like blazer and leopard shift dress for under $75.

Go me.

FYI - Elizabeth you need this shift dress!  You would look FAB in it.

What I Wore - Purple and Polka Dots

It is still too hot for pants.
Even in my house because my air conditioner has now been broken for almost 2 weeks. *ugh*

I've Taken Ill

I have not been able to stand up for days now.

Getting to the computer to type this might be the last thing I ever do.

Please remember me fondly.

Will this heat ever end?

I am getting better at making stylish work ensembles while using as little clothing as possible since at home I am pretty much lying around in my underwear.

J. Crew Intel

Do you think those J. Crew stylists are born with these innate abilities to stye someone or are they taught them like some sort of secret intel?

Either way, former J. Crew stylist, Marina Dobreva, is teaching us all of the tricks like the masked magician.

Read more about it on Babble.

What I Wore - Mary Janes

I am not usually a bow person, but the other day i felt like I needed an extra little something since I was not feeling well.  The pink bow on the back of my bun did the trick!

Back to School Bag

Remember when school was getting ready to start and you got to go Back to School shopping?
That was the absolute best.

New clothes, new school supplies, and a brand new backpack.

Why does this stop when you are adult?

I decided to bring back that tradition and treat myself to a brand new bag since that was my favorite part.  I ventured out to the Brea Mall to find my Back to School bag.

My first stop though had to be Orange Julius!  Why doesn't every mall still have these?  It started off my shopping trip on the right note.

I headed right into the where I knew my Back to School bag fantasies would become realities...Coach.

After a helpful sales associate asked me what was missing from my bag collection, we narrowed it down to a small daytime neutral bag that would be helpful in travel.

And guess what came home with me?

Hello cognac mini crossbody.

Top - J. Crew

Instagram in an Instant

Last week and over the weekend...

I did the Ritual Cleanse 3 day juice cleanse.

I enjoyed one of the few cool nights on my patio watching the sunset.

I found the cutest pig paperclips for my desk.

I went for Round 2 at the Dry Bar...it was SO much better than my first experience.  Sadly, these perfectly coiffed loose curls did not last long.

Scored the USA cutting board and arrow salad servers form the Curiosity Shoppe at Target.

Happy Monday!

Designer Desperation

Do you ever see something and just lust over it so much that it takes over your life?

This Kelly Wearstler bag did just that to me.

I am convincing myself of how often I would use it.  How the price per wear makes it easily affordable.  The amazing new direction my life would go if only I was carrying this baby in my hands.

While I think it is semi reasonable for what it is at $895, I still have a few wits about me that tell me to keep dreaming...unless someone out there has deep pockets that would like to share!

While I love a long weekend, I enjoy the short week to follow more.

I am already looking forward to Friday.
