Shoe Problem

I knew I had a shoe problem, but when I was going through my "inspiration images" I noticed a lot of the pictures were of shoes and not interiors.

Dreaming of White Sofas

So I have tried to fight it, but I cannot help my LOVE for a crisp, white sofa.

I do not know why people are so scared of white furniture. Bleach solves everything!

I had fought getting a white sofa when my husband and I bought our new home and he said he did not want one at all. So I went with a color called 'dove.' It never looked right to me. I forged ahead and kept plugging along, but I never liked any of the fabric swatches for pillows I brought home. Then I realized why...I needed my white sofa!

Finally, I was lucky enough to help a wonderful friend and in exchange she made me a tight, white slipcover with baseball stitching. UH-mazing. All is right with my little world now.

Moving On Up!

My gorgeous BF is moving into a new place next month and so the planning has started! I was so excited when she told me I could run-a-muck (within budget). After our European vacation I knew exactly what I wanted to do for her new place...Rustic Chic.

Craft Bazaar

Bedtime

As a designer I am constantly struggling with my own home. It is amazing how easily I can make a decision for a client without any hesitation, but when it comes to my own home I am constantly tweaking things.

My bedroom is my latest victim. It is awful when I see 'something' and start thinking how I can incorporate it into my own home. That is where the trouble starts. The bedrooms below currently have me re-designing my bedroom in my head.

Reading List

I was updating my Amazon Wishlist today and I thought I would share some of my current wants and some of my favorite books with you guys.

Let's face it. We all at one point LOVED the Shabby Chic aesthetic and I am no exception. I still love Rachel Ashwells point of view and this book documents many of her inspirations as well as her Los Angeles home. It is a MUST!

Speaking of personal homes, I am hoping to find this lovely book under the Christmas tree since I feel like I have already been waiting for it all year long! Inside Kellys newest book is not only her recent unpublished projects, but also her Beverly Hills home.

Everyone knows that Jamie Rummerfield and Ron Woodson are beyond fabulous, and let me tell you so is their book! It is not only gorgeous on the inside but the outside is black silk with gold gilding! UH-mazing.
