Palm Springs Recap

Since it was 106 degrees out there was of course a lot of laying out under the sun and an umbrella.

However, I did manage to beat the heat and attempt to do some shopping.

I thought about this baby...but could not commit.

I also considered a gold Armadillo.  As my BFF Paula said, "Who doesn't need a gold armadillo?"

We also spent a morning at the Parker enjoying an amazing brunch.

Followed by a little more vintage shopping.

Carter Kustera

So I was so happy that I saw over on Alissa's blog, The GOODS Design, about the Groupon sale for Carter Kustera.

I have wanted one of these babies for years, but on Jonathan Adler they were $750! Granted it is for a pretty large guy, but still much too pricey for me.

On Groupon though you could get an adorable 9" x 7" silhouette for $50! I also had a $10 coupon so mine came down to $40!

I decided the only member of my family worth of getting their silhouette done was my precious Dorothy Mantooth. She is a saint after all.

Watch Me

I originally went to the Plum website to watch the Kate and Andy Spade videos done with Adam Rapoport, but when I got there I watched all of the Simon Doonan and Jonathan Adler videos which, just as you can imagine, are beyond enjoyable!

1 Dachshund, 2 Dachshund...

I am pining for this adorable ceramic dachshund in midnight from Mr. Jonathan Adler. I cannot help but think he used my little Dorothy Mantooth as the model.

Get Down on the Ground

I tend to lay on the floor a lot. Even thought there are only two people and a puppy in my house, and plenty of seats to spare, I find myself lounging on the ground. I was thinking about trying to get some floor cushions, but the husband did not want anymore "pillows" around. He obviously does not know what he is talking about.

Furniture Friday 6.26.09

I have always been drawn to hanging chairs.  I am not sure if it is the look I like or the fact that it is basically an acceptable version of an indoor swing without getting the weird looks from friends and family.  Either way, I want one.  The question is, do I want a rattan chair or a bubble chair?

Furniture Friday 5.22.09

The Chinese Chippendale Chair is nothing new, but it is still on my Top 5 Wishlist for my home. Yes, it has been out forever, and it is everywhere, but sometimes there is a reason for that.  The chair itself is gorgeous and can go with anything.  Occasional, dining, or for your desk the chair goes everywhere and comes in every color.  What is good enough for Jonathan Adler is certainly good enough for me!  

The Jonathan Adler chair with the classic Schumacher Ming Dragon fabric that is on sale, yes sale, at Revival Home & Garden.  If I was even remotely close to Seattle, I would have already snapped this and a few other gems up form them!
