Living At the Beach

I have been obsessed with having a large beach photo in my home since I saw the photo Nicole over at Sketch 42 posted from the Pulse Art Fair.

Art by Christian Chaize

I recently saw this pic and it reignited my love for this idea.

The idea of the blue of the ocean and that happy feeling that you get when you think about laying on the white sand would probably make me feel calmer when I was in my own home.
I am a bit of a worrier.

Now you can have the same feel in your home via Z Gallerie.

Black and White Continues

Based on my previous ensemble, you can tell that I am a black and white fan. These pictures of black and white interiors proves that neutral does not have to be boring.

Needing Navajo

When I saw this over on Sketch42 the other day, it reminded me about these:

2 for $30!

I think a few of these will be coming to my house soon.

Sketch 42 is Having a Party...

and we are all invited!

So take a plane, train or automobile and head on over to Intermix next Wednesday.

Nicole is not only my blog bestie, but I am the BEYOND proud owner of one of her gorgeous creations.

Rainbow Maps Amazingness!

Seriously, after 2 1/2 years of having an online relationship with Nicole we finally met and I am dying to get to NYC to play with her. Sadly, it will not be next Wednesday.

Since I will not be able to attend and see more of her phenomenal paintings in person, please go for me. Take pictures and make me feel sick that I was not there too.

Shop for clothes, drink champagne, and BUY art!
Not to mention, you can meet Nicole and she is basically fabulous.

The Reveal

Between pillows, a rug, and a new piece of art I have a lot to show you in my updated living room.

West Elm linen pillow cases for $10. I actually go them for another 15% off plus free shipping because they were having a crazy deal, but they are totally worth it.

Buy here.

They make Nicoles art shine even more.

Then, another West Elm find, my rug.
For the steal of deal of $229 it is dreamy.

I was concerned about the word "chenille" however, it doesnt read grandma, it just make the juxtaposition of the just even more amazing and softer. Dorothy loves it.

Speaking of my furry child, I finally got here amazing Carter Kustera silhouette framed.

You can see how true to life it is.

All pictures via Rebecca June

My framer floated the silhouette for me so you could really appreciate the frayed edges.
I love it.

What do you guys think?

I Would Walk 500 Miles

Ok, well I drove 120 round trip but it was totally worth it.

I was excited to meet these lovelies:

You can read all about the dreamy night we had over on Christians blog, but it was more fun than I could have hoped for.

Besides the fact that Nicole and I have been trying to figure out who was going to what coast for the last 2 years, having a surprise addition of Erica, meeting my new favorite stylist Emily, and cozying up to Christian for the second time in another posh LA establishment, there was never an awkward moment.

It was gold Jerry, gold.

What do you wear when going to the Chateau Marmont?
(score Emily for resies...Ha!)
No clue, but I wore this:

(FYI I think I prefer my face being a burst of light)

I think the 5 of us should re-create our Chateau date once a year at least.

Yes?

Art Flip Flop

Since I got new artwork for my living room thanks to Nicole over at Sketch42, my beautiful Paris map that I liked was left without a home.

Until I decided that maybe it could find a new home.

AFTER!

Now it serves as a headboard over my yummy Matteo bedding.

Winner, Winner

So let's be honest, I am a winner because of this...

The amazing art is by my best friend that I have never met (it has been far too long) Mrs. Nicole Cohen of Sketch42.

I am in utter awe of the dreaminess that now rests above my sofa.

Now for another winner.

The random # was 8 and the winner is...

DEBRA!!!

Debra send me your information and I will get you your beautiful new house number sign!

My Lost Weekend

Picture via Dress Design & Decor

So even though it seemed that I slept my weekend away (I kid you not I slept pretty much all of Saturday venturing out of my bed only twice) I seemed to still get a lot accomplished.

I did a little work, FINALLY framed the beauty from my bestie Nicole over at Sketch 42 and my newest piece of art of my little puppa, engaged in cheese overload with a girlfriend, went to a birthday party, took care of my sick husband (I think my body is trying to fight it off - thus the massive amounts of sleeping), check out the designer collabs at Target, went grocery shopping (this rarely happens), and am trying to cooridnate a small get together of girls to wish our girlfriend CONGRATS before she gets married.

Maybe I was tired because I actually did all of that...

No Surprise, She is Stunning

So I had to feature my favorite BFF/Blogger (notice BFF was first? Why Nicole likes me I have no idea) who just had the most gorgeous layout in Rue.

Just to remind you...

Nicole has amazing taste and disregard whatever she says about me helping her in any way. Just like any other designer, it is easy to tell a client what to do, but when it comes to your own home you need a sounding board. I merely listened.

Beautiful home, beautiful family Nicole!

Cute as a Cookie

This little one...

lives here.

Nicole is updating her daughters room and not only is it already gorgeous, but the artwork is stunning and handmade by little Cookie herself.

Like mother, like daughter.

Day 4 of the Tour

Ok, this is it! The final day of my home tour. There is not much left to see. Personally, I think my closet is the best part of my home and you all have already seen that. *wink*

So last, but not least, my Master Bedroom.

I love my pictures above my bed.
My wonderful friend Nicole over at Sketch42 shared some of her beautiful marbled paper with me and I feel like it added the perfect sense of calmness that you want in your bedroom.

I also love the pillow that Ashley from Skout made me. My husband and I were married in 2008 so I thought that was a kitschy little touch.

I have added a shell print on the far wall since these were taken. It adds a nice little something to that corner.

On my lovely Ikea dresser, I have a few pictures from our wedding and the amazing watercolor that my florist/event planner did of my arbor that we got married under and became where we also put our sweetheart table.
See the real thing here.

The interior designer in me cannot stop though. I really want to change all of my bedding over to Matteo. They have the most beautiful linen and cotton bedding I have ever seen and I have become obsessed!

So I am ready for your thoughts. I have been loving them all week!

Selling Sketch42

Is everyone aware of the best new etsy shop? Nicole from Sketch42 is finally letting us all in on just how talented she is.

Look at these beautiful lucite and gemstone boxes that she has started putting together! You would think these beauties would be super pricey, but Nicole has somehow managed to make these affordable for everyone.

Lucite Box with Turquoise Nugget

Amethyst Jeweled Lucite Box

Lucite and Sardonix Nugget Box

I am also the lucky owner of one thanks to Nicole! For some reason she liked me enough to send me this baby as a gift!

It is gorgeous and it makes me smile every time I look at it!

You wouldn't believe the artwork that she has made and the pillows that she is currently making! Go and buy people because nothing is going to last long.

The City

So I happen to be a reality television junkie...particularly with the Hills.  Therefore, when the City was introduced, I knew I had another program I would be tuning into on Monday nights.  I am sucked into this world where young girls have the clothes, purses, and houses that I lust after.  Now comes Miss Olivia Palermo.  While I do not appreciate her attitude, I do happen to crave her wardrobe and her apartment in the city.  I had almost forgotten about her gorgeous girly abode until I saw a post on Sketch 42 and then my jealousy returned.
